Rebuilding My Career One Story At A Time
With the help of medication and physical therapy, I am solidly on the road to recovery. The pain in my hands has significantly decreased and my concentration issues have started to improve.
Even more exciting, I have once again experienced the superpower of ADHD, hyperfocus, which I lost for a few years, and it was wonderful. I reorganized my Patreon page so it’s easier for my supporters to find their rewards. This was a task I had put off for nearly two years because every time I opened my Patreon I was overwhelmed by how much I had to do, and immediately shut it. One day, I felt my hyperfocus switch on and I went for it. Several hours later, I was giddy with delight because I finished everything I had wanted to do!
My main goal for this year, in regard to the indie publishing part of my writing career, is to write one short story a month for my supporters on Patreon. I am making these stories available at the $1 a month tier. I would like to reach 200 supporters by the end of this year. The two lowest tiers are $1 and $5. The $1 tier gives early access to my short stories while the $5 gives access to my novels in progress.
Patreon is how I have remained a full-time writer for twelve years. The support of my patrons allowed me to continue indie publishing. Through very lean times, (when royalty checks didn’t arrive, my husband was switching jobs, etc), it kept food on our table.

In a world where the undead can be resurrected, few can afford the procedure, driving many people to extremes and it's up to the Peacemakers to keep humanity safe.
Sometimes revenge is best served by the victims.
Fight or flight are not the only two survival modes. There is also freeze.
Sometimes the zombie apocalypse gives you exactly what you want.
